So I'm lying here wondering if we've done enough.
I visited the rest of the houses today and was do despondent when I left I honestly don't know if we'll make a difference.
These people make do with next to nothing.

Today I met a woman who was locked inside a bathroom for 5 months with her two children, both girls.
When they arrived at the Charity they had to have their hair treated for lice, not hair lice but physically the type of tics and lice you find on a dog.

One of the girls had a stab wound on the inside of her leg that had never been treated.
The 5 months in the bathroom was without a change of clothes and they were only fed bread and water.
They were locked in here after the mother was tied to the base of her bed and forced to watch as her husband raped his own two daughters in front of her.

Just something to think about.
Well done guys, we might not be able to make a difference, but we can certainly give at least one of these people a little hope.

I am proud to be associated with you all.
I may never be given the opportunity again to arrange something like this but want you all to know after what I've seen and heard today this has been an experience I will never forget.

Respect to you all and to all your generosity.
I wish I could show you how proud you should be of yourselves.

Mind if I join thr bandwagon?

I said in my initial thread on the Trump Cards that I will donate R10 for every pack sold to the next charity run. Now, all payments aren't in yet but I'll do the balance from my side so theres another R2000 to your great cause.

Also from my business side I'll donate another R500 and see what I can offer in terms of baby stuff.

The wife also suggested some of our boy's old clothes (read almost new) as well as nappies and toys.

We will also canvas with friends to try and raise awareness for this cause.

If all goes well I will join Petri in a huge convoy (2 cars lol) and see you guys on Sunday. So someone pleawe add my name and the wife's to the list :tyty:

And last but not least : I applaud you for your amazing efforts and perseverance in making this happen. It's never an easy task to get people to participate especially when money is involved.

Small problem ? I drive a z3 ? How am I going to get +-40 blankets in my car Can you imagine with some food tins I am planing to get and maybe a toy or two ? It is not like I have a roof rack ?
