Morning All,
Had new OE front disks/pads fitted at the dealer about two weeks ago (E90 323i MSport). Asked them about bedding-in and was told "just avoid maximum brake force for about 600KMs" and something about overheating the disks early will cause them to turn blue...anyways I've done about 800KMs now. Can I 'cook' my brakes now or do I still need to follow some sort of running-in procedure?
I remember several years ago when I fit Power Brake slotted disks/pads to my E36 I had to adhere to like a 500KMs 'moderate' braking period, and then after that do 10 emergency stops from about 90Kph to 10Kph (not full stop).
