Didn't have to be, its pretty much common sense unless you think the R35 does a 1/4 mile 12.9s. :biglol: :blab:

This one did.

Nobody said that all R35's run this time. But this one did.

Conditions on the day dictate the time. There could have been a 200km/h head wind. Side by side run in the same conditions is a valid comparison.

I have never been to this place before but it sounds like it is a sh1t hole. :dunno:

Thats below the belt

1 thing we must appreciate is that som people (odi / tarlton etc ) make a playground for us in a safe/controlled enviroment for us to run our cars
there will always be complaints - traction issues , distance to far , delays etc but if u man who loves motorsport u will be there to represent / spectate & not be behind keyboard shouting :blab:

Well said.

I like odi, its an adventure.

Traction used to be better than tarlton. Im sure once the new start line at odi settles, it will be tops.

13.0 @ 175km/h
226kmh on the 1km :=):

start line resurfaced so traction crap :sorry:

my h/light was being called out by Nissan Gtr - he beat me by 0.1s :flyfun:

Don't flatter yourself, he obviously didnt know what he was doing, a gtr runs high 11s up here in stock form. He should of run and parked before you went over.

lol, what does it matter what he SHOULD have done, its what actually happened that matters.. if i was the gtr driver i would have been embarrassed..

well done babyboss..

I wouldn't have been, he obviously screwed his launch up or had not traction what so ever and still beat his competitor.

@MFanatic U KEYTALK TOO MUCH - IF U CAN AFFORD GTR ( I HAD 1 & CAN STILL AFFORD TO BUY ANOTHER ) COME RACE ME :fencelook:

There's not much of it left after Saturday. The stuff stuck to our tyres and is probably now spread over half of Pretoria and Soshanguve.

Hmmm, never knew that an opinion is considered shouting. My view remains unchanged :)

Why below the belt? It's no personal attack. It's a comment based around feedback from what I read about this venue. Relax! :thumb:

Guys there are already four versions of the GTR so lets not make it sound like they all run ten and eleven second quartermiles. The first batch was testing at Tarlton running in the high twelves with a software car doing a 12.5.
Car magazine even tested a Nismo version and it only ran a 236 if I can recall on the km at the reef. So its a matter of which one ran and anything is possible. They not all exactly giant killers.

According to ODI's FB page, they have apologized about the liquid rubber issue. Apparently, the rain messed up the drying process of the liquid rubber. Hence, its all over you guys cars...

The drifting was fun whilst trying to do the 1km.

Nonetheless lessons learnt and ODI fixing accordingly.

I think it was more an issue with preparation before applying the stuff. It stuck to our tyres and not to the road surface. Just my opinion. :nonono:

Hope it's going to be better on Saturday. Was thinking of getting my bakkie's bak rubberized but they only do it on the bottom at ODI.

Waiting for the results but a few confirmed

The 335i ran 176/7km exits on the 400m whilst doing the 1km runs and 227km/h on the 1km.

Sideways action had a few people screaming OMG from what i was told.

Took of gentle in 1st , engaged 2nd gear, car goes 90deg , tapped off , engaged 3rd and footed again.(left before the 400m started cause we were told no 400m , only 1km. (Sad but very badly organised)

Didnt bother to try any further as track was really messed up with a whole lot of crap stuck on my 19 tyres. Along with fish tailing at high speeds :(

I know the car can do much better with better traction but happy with the results for its first trial runs on the track. Manual is fun but requires much more attention when peddling it down the strip and i really need to get rid of the this clutch delay valve but nonetheless lets see at future events how it goes.

Nice meeting some new faces and old...

We need a BMW day now.

Volvo guys may be upset we matched their fastest 1km bigger turbo volvos runs with 227km/h

:joy:

So there was no time on that 400M run ?
