Number of 1M Coupe's allocated to South Africa

After a few hours of research, I've been unable to get an exact figure of how many 1M's were sold locally.

My initial knowledge was that 71 were brought into the country, with 4 being media cars and the remaining 67 sold to the public. Other sources state that there may have been a second batch of 1M's brought here, bringing the total number to 100 South African-allocated 1M's.

Can anybody confirm the actual number?

It's inconclusive, bud. One member received information from the BMWSA product manager at the time that 120 cars were brought in but an option fitted to local cars may mean we had gotten 110 cars, according to the post on 1addicts.
