I've been a member on this forum for four years but never posted or introduced myself. I registered on the forum to get info on the E46 320i because my brother had just bought one and now I've finally also bit the bullet and ordered a 2008 E90 325i from Japan (I live in Botswana). Its a long wait (6 weeks) but the car should be here mid March. I am looking forward to learn and to contribute to this awesome forum.

Mainly price and general condition of the vehicle. The cars are normally in better condition than the "local" vehicles (local refers to a car that has been bought through a BMW dealership in Southern Africa) Japan also has a very strict car auction system that grades cars according to its mechanical, exterior and interior condition. Generally on a scale of 1 to 6. 6 being a brand new car and 1 obviously the worst you can get. Its more complex than that but I'm just trying to give an idea. The car I ordered is a Grade 4 which for a 12 year old car is considered to be rather good. There are also alot of lemons, thats why the auction sheet is so important
