Noob question

Hey guys,

This may sound dumb, but I have no idea if my car has bluetooth capability. There are buttons on the steering wheel and a button on the radio unit. User manuals aren't helpful as well.

Its a 2008 BMW 135i. (E82) Can someone help me please?

Thanks in advance.

The phone buttons is a standard feature on the car.
My car didn't have the factory fitted car kit. Got a Nokia one installed, it operates with those buttons.

Have you done a Bluetooth scan with your phone to see if it detects the car kit?

Are you in Cape Town? If you are, are you coming on the run tomorrow?

Your car will not have the capability if it was not chosen as an extra. The M-Sport steering wheel and I think the normal one as well have the buttons there in anycase as a feature 'if' the option is chosen.

Sorry for a hijack, but are there kits that work with the steering buttons?

Yep, I have a Parrot one that does, but nothing beats the OEM one for decent integration, especially if you have iDrive.
