where did you source the discs? I had a similar issues with mine. replaced disc and control arms. shudder came back after about 1500km. ended up changing the disc to OE from BMW and been happy every since 6000km later
What brand disc did you use?

I had a smilar experience with Febi discs from Goldwagen - started shuddering after 3000km. I bought Meyle discs from Imcomex for the 540. Definetely not my first choice, but OEM discs are 4 x the price, so i'll test these out

I would be lying if I said I remember the name, but it was from master parts. Yeah you are right the OEM discs I think were 5,6 each steep! but I'm happy for now.. the pads don't seem to be an issues in terms of brands

I have also had some bad experiences with brake shudder on especially the E39 (had three of them). In the end i opted for either ATE or Ferodo discs and pads, after which i had no more problems.

On the fog lights, autostyle used to sell just the glass if you looking to save some ronds. Which ever route you go, buy some clear headlight film and apply it, will stop the sandblasting and cracking and you can just reapply every year.

On Monday my drivers side window decided would only go down 5cm or so, at least I could close it again. Had a look on Youtube and removed the panel and cover to have a look at the inside. Time was limited so I did not remove the airbag.

Seems like the cable is moeg. When I have more time perhaps Ill try and remove the entire regulator and see if its only the cable that need replacing, but if a new unit aint too much I might just get a new one.

Do I go Goldwagen or would OEM be the best bet? Two of the clips on the bottom that clicks the panel back into place also broke so I would need to replace those also.

Doesnt look like it is the first time it has been changed...Might be worth buying from GW since they have Febi which is not the worst quality

Alot of people do not clean all the channels when putting in the new regulator, which picks up all that debris and fails again, buy a couple cans of brake cleaner and its quick work.

There is a little spring in there that breaks. Also, lube up the lock, because if it really fails, its drilling holes to get in.

Turning to the HARD (90*) right sets "valet mode", where the remote, and interior button don't open it.

Turning to the HARD (90*) left manually releases the boot lock..... as long as it's lubed and functional.

45* left and right, unlocks and locks the whole car.

If not you gonna have to try and get to the actuator via the ski hatch, which is doable if you are not well endowed in the tummy region.
