nitrous for m3

so iv been reading around on the net about nitrous for the m3 e46

do u guys have any experience,or know of any1 running nitro on ther M,s
just want to know is there like,a best system to use, how safe is it. ,alot of people kary on like if gas ur kar it will defnatly brake!
And who,s the best at doing the whole job.
Dont wana go mad with it.just a small 50 to 100hp power of nos.
Just want u guys advice before i jump into it. Tanx guys

Hey bud 50-100 Hp is not small shot.. LOL
You can run that much if you run 6 foggers!
On a single foger i would not suggest more than 45hp kit maby up to 60hp with some racefuel!
Sabie Coetzee is Prop the Best guy localy! And NOS is the best kit around!
Plus you will need to run 2 Nos solenoids if you love your car just incase one decides to get stuck!

I dont have nos on my M but we run 100KW shot on a VR6 but has dropt compression and forged internals! also a 150kw shot on a V8 courier!

Sabies kits start from R10500 fitted up to R22000! He is prop the cheapest to fill up as he only charges R350 a refill!

The amount of torque you gain with say a 45hp shot is incredable!
Sabies one client ran a 12.9 on Stock M with single shot ( think 60hp with racefuel)

Nos installed corectly and not abused will cause no harm! I know of alot of succses stories with running smaller shot of nos! Just a window switch is always good which switches the nos off before you reach the limmiter! Also a micro swith under the peddal that you dont go happy gas if throttle is not completly open!

ya tinking of 6 fogger,but a guy i spoke to said when u instal nos u got to give the kar less timing or something,
meaning that the kar will be a bit slugish,or not as alive. Until u hit the nos.
Whats the deal?

on single throttles yes! but a single fogger does not dustribute big shots over individual throttles!

people are under the impression that its the freezing quality of nos that makes the power! maby 10â„… of it but the main quality of nos is NO2 every N takes 2 hands of oxygen! so you double the amount of oxygen for every molecule N you use! that is why they retar timing cause compression goes up and causes detonation! i do not suggests DIY with nos on an m3 as your motor goes around R55k 2nd hand at the importers!

I can maybe suggest using Meth injection at the same time ? because that increases your octane rating quite ALLOT ! ..
I'm busy looking at some METH kits now, before I do NOS. I do NOT want to replace my engine :/

ye, but I seriously doubt you will need to retard timing if u running meth dude, cause then you won't get pre-detonation

bud you have acouple of choises! what i sugest is running a 45hp shot on stock timming! even a 60hp with some racefuel!

or you can get a dastek uniQ fitted then have an aditional map with retared timming for the nos!

bud you will shit ur self with a 45 shot! its safe plus good starting point and ur bottles last longer! then later go bigger! you wil run well in the 13s with a 45shot!

I still wouldn't touch any of the kits... specially NOS kits... perhaps NX.... but my preference when I finally try NOS will be WON and WON only!!!

so streetracer if i go 40hp which i tink id be hapy with 4 now. I kan run same map im using now? I do have xcede software tho.

As 4 nos plus unichip. Best bet woud be rgm rite?

ok so i spoke to my guy, he said he used, the nos system on his own m3, single fog.
At 50hp he says i wudnt have to touch the timing. It wil take him 3 to 4days to get it done. Im geting my kar bak next weak friday. Just fiting n spraying csl style boot lid. N taking it from there
The wife a bit skared tho.lol. Dnt wna hear about nos,lol,
dnt blame her, we expecting our 1st born, in 2 to 3 weeks time. Hmmm gas'd kar.n a new baby, what more could i ask 4.

I have seen a few 20V toy's with itbs & single foggers, dont get me wrong fogger/cylinder is always better but for under 100hp I don't think its a necessity.

Also I don't know if you even get jets small enough for 60Hp 6 fogger set-up.

Not so long ago, Cleo from Chiplogic ran an 11.9 in Mathuba at the coast using NOS on his old E46 M3. He obv. ran his own software etc. to optimize things..
