Hi all
So I am considering buying a second car - obviously a BMW - and am not sure of what I should buy. Well, it's also related to its purpose. I either want something with more of a performance focus - for weekends. Think M3... or an everyday car 530i/540i. I just want that Sheer Driving Pleasure back!
Basically for me, I love driving. I love being involved in the whole process - so a manual gearbox is a must have. I also want sound and power - nothing less than 3 litres. It has to be a sedan or coupe - the purist in me doesnt like convertibles. It would ideally have a V8, as the unmuffled sound of that is amazing! That being said, the sound of the I6 E46 is awesome too. :blab:
As I want this sooner rather than later - and I want to buy cash - it can't cost the earth. This practically eliminates the E90/2 M3.
Where I am based, cars are really cheap - compared to SA. Another aspect to consider is maintenance costs. Having an M car as an everday driver will be much more costly than say a 540i - from what I've been reading.
