Good day fellow fanatics
Newbie here, been reading threads for some time, but this is my first post. Was going to introduce myself yesterday but after that killa intro from fellow newbie KingZander,
raise: I felt abit intimidated.
Not a car expert by any means, so looking forward to learning from the pros on this forum. Some of you guys really know ur stuff, so I ask your forgiveness in advance for any stupid questions that I may ask in the future.
Anyway, I currently drive a 2013 F30 320i m-sport (sapphire black – my favourite colour).
As she was in the showroom
Then I decided to get the front lip, which I colour coded and I fitted a carbon fibre boot spoiler
Then plastic dipped the grill and the mags to make it abit more intimidating on the road (considering it’s only a 320i
.

I was reading through the forums regarding fuel consumption that some guys were getting on their F30 320i's , but to be honest I only get on average about 430 – 450 km on a full tank :blueCry: Wife says its cos the way i drive, but... then again she doesn't know much about cars :crazylaugh:
So now the car is reaching 80 000km with motorplan until March next year. Cost to extend it, is totally ridiculous:hammerhead:. For me, with my very very limited knowledge of cars, I need a car with a motorplan
raise: When i say limited knowledge, just to put in context....I have never
ever changed a tire since I got my licence way back in 1996, and don’t even claim to know how this is done :biglol
I probably can do it, but have absolutely no interest in doing it, so I rather sit on the side of the road waiting for the ‘experts’ to sort it out).............But, I digress... ...
So, coming back to my BLACK MAGIC, I love this baby to bits,:blowheart: somehow the stance is TOPS (probably cos black on black), and she has treated me well over the years. Aahh ......we had some good times, and some hair- rising ones as too:crazylaugh::crazylaugh:, BUT m/p is soon to be over, so I got to move on........
Heard that diesels are the “IN” thing, with their low consumption, but still having enough torque to get you there relatively quick. Met with John Lodder ( LeoHase Pretoria), who was very kind enough to stay late after work so that he could help this newbie , make an informed decision . .. :ty:
Was initially looking for 320d's, but last weekend I found myself a 2015 model, 330d m-sport with 39 000km on the clock. Not as quick as the 135i, but that torque is insane. I was actually very surprised to see how fast it accelerates
raise:
Not too happy with the color though ( Glacier Silver) , but has lots of factory accessories ( 19 inch wheels, Harman/kardon surround , paddle shifts, front and rear PDC, folding mirrors, high beam assist, Connected drive services ??? no idea what this is. Salesman was explaining it , but I have a low attention span  and ohh... it has the folding seats in the back (very unusual for a 3 series, but very useful when I visit Builders to buy crap).
BMW AutoGlen eventually gave me a very reasonable trade in for my BlackMagic , and they putting in darker tint and giving me the black gloss grill.
So.....I take delivery of the 330d tomorrow.
Looking forward to it, but really dreading letting go of my current one :blueCry::blueCry: Probably not going to sleep much tonight.
sorry for the long intro... get carried away sometimes:roflol:
