Hey there everyone. I'm the proud owner of a 2018 F30 320d LCI and just looking to learn as much as I can as I go along seeing as this is my first BMW.

First impressions of the car have been nothing short of magnificent. Its a great blend of aesthetics, performance, practicality and economy. To be honest, I was looking for a 30d but at the time, I had to make a decision fast and I settled on the 20d. I've started making minor aesthetic adjustments to the car while I'm pondering on performance mods.

My previous ride was a 2014 Kia Koup 1.6T (152kw, 265nm) so even though I sacrificed some power for the jump to the 20d, the massive torque jump as well as the obvious quality difference in the engines more than made up for it (also, the economy difference is night and day).

I more than welcome any advice/tips that other F30 320d owners have for me.

Welcome and congrats on the ride. Can't help with advice on mods but many on the forum have massive knowledge on the 20d platform and best "bang for buck" mods. What I can advise on is don't do any mods that risk your motorplan.

Thanks Ntando. I appreciate that. The reason I'm waiting on the performance mods is exactly that. Just rubbing my hands together until the year 2023

Aesthetic mods to date:

- Chrome single slat grills to gloss black double slat
- Stock mirror covers to gloss black M style covers
- Debadged 320d

All these mods added 5kw.

Thanks @K0dAx. Much appreciated. I actually got her in March 2020 a week before we went into full lockdown so it was bad timing as I didn't get to enjoy her nearly as much as I would have liked so trying to make up for lost time now

Update:

Bit the bullet and took her in today for powder coating. I'm definitely pleased with the results Gloss black on my 19" 442s. Decided to get the calipers done as well to match my interior. Pics attached.
