Hi all, recently purchased my first BMW, 2017 M140i in mineral grey


Any recommendations on exhaust mods to make some noise? Is the midpipe deletes the best way to go or will downpipe be sufficient?

Congratulations on the new ride. A MPE exhaust and downpipe will be plenty of noise if that’s what you are looking for.

Thanks for the advice on the exhaust. I guess it's much of a muchness as they'll all probably perform/sound the same, but from my research I've done so far, my options for a downpipe are either PowerPipes, Rogue Performance or BMS.

Can anyone recommend one of them please?

At some point yeah will probably be switching them out for something different, but kinda happy with the look as it is now. I quite like the ride on the 18s, not sure if 19s would give the same ride?

Rogue performance gets my vote. Great service, product and sounds epic.

Its ultimately up to you though. Haven't heard any bad reviews about the ones you mentioned either.

PowerPipes gets my vote. Ish's work is just class and service is great.

Nishen from TMSS did a downpipe for me back when I had my M135i, with downpipe alone the car made an extra 20kw on the wheels and butt dyno could concur, not to mention I did actual Dyno runs before and after. Now i am sure other downpipes are similar but this was my experience

If you pair it with the MPerf Exhaust its magic
