Hi everyone

I'm planning to trade in my 2012 VW Polo 1.4 Comfortline for 2012 BMW 125i M Sport, as a new BMW owner to be, I'd like some advice on what to expect based on the transition from VW Polo to BMW ie. fuel consumption, service/maintenance cost etc. The bimmer I'm about to buy has no motorplan but added 2 year warranty.

Any advice would be appreciated

Hallo and Welcome

Also driving a 125i Msport (2009) with about 160 000 km on board.
Consumption Polo VS 125i , There is no such thing as good consumption driving a six cylinder petrol BMW. Rather go for a Diesel.
Tank is about 53 L, i never go less than a Quarter of a tank and get about 350 - 400 km city driving. on the open road can add about a 100km to it.

The drive and comfort VS a polo , for me i take the 125i hands down.
It is a drivers car, have put 10 000km on it in 4 Months time and still cannot stop driving it.

Service/ Maintenance cost, if going to the stealers more or less the same as paying for your polo, not that much of a difference.

What mileage is on the car ? If less than 100 000 km it should still be under motorplan, if not find out why.

If you have a BMW dealer close to you go visit them and give them the key to check the service history for you and for any Comments. Everything get read from the car Key.

So to come down to it if you want consumption keep the polo and add the 125i.

I picked her up this weekend, drove from Durban to CPT... I must say, i'm loving it.

It has 111000KM on the clock with no motorplan, and fuel consumption so far is not bad especially when driving on ECO Pro mode.

Thanks for you input Gordvisr, I will post the pics soon

it is F20
