New to BMW

Hi all, new to BMW and I'm looking for advice and suggestions.

Bought a 2008 320I with 95 000 kms on the clock. Vehicle has just gone off motor-plan and need some suggestions regarding extending the motor plan either with BMW or with 3rd party?

Also looking for a workshop for the servicing of this vehicle. I live in Randburg and work in Meyerton.

Any suggestions and advice will be most appreciated.

Have you phone BMW and find out how much wold it cost you to extend your MP?

There was a thread on this....let me see if I can't find it for you.

Thank you, the dealer that sold me the vehicle made the necessary enquiries. I was told that to extend the motor-plan would cost me R24000.00 over the next 10 000kms.

On a 320i don't extend it bud, R24000 for 10000km! Rather find a good independant workshop and do servicing like that. Put that R10 000 away to cover the next service and you'll be more than fine!:thumbs:

Thanks all, my fist port of call was hellopeter.com to check on the following companies: SA Warranties, Motorite, Hollard. There were more sad and angry faces than happy ones. Decision made: Save the monthly amount and hope that all goes well.

Welcome to the fanatics family .
You do not have expensive turbos etc so MP extension at R24K is an expensive piece of mind .
You can send Gizmo on the forum a pm , he is in the south of Jhb , our resident bm boffin !!
Luck may play a role but bm's in general like a high quality oil and coolant mixture . These must be changed when required and you will have a long and happy relationship .
