I work on all my own cars and handle all maintenance! So far, the most work I have had to do was on the E38 which includes stripping most of the engine to bits to replace waterpumps, radiators, valley pan gaskets, PCV valves, cross over pipe gaskets, power steering lines and so on...

Hope I know enought to help a few of you out

Cheers

Welcome friend!

I'm sure you can help a lot of people out, with amount you have done to your 7.

This reminds me, we need to take some betters pictures of your stable when you have some time to spare!

Welcome! Love the flatty! E38's are still one of my favourite flavours of BMW ;)

I am going to be taking on the entire intake system on my 540i soon, which will also include valley pan, gaskets, o-rings and new screws for everything. I seem to have an intake leak coming from the back of the intake, where the PCV is on the M62, is just a cover with a gasket on the M60 which has a pipe going to the PCV.

Its just the E38 that has that low down flat appearance. :)

I've never attempted something so bold, but I'm sure with a little patience I wont have a problem. I have the E32 Bentley manual (E32 manual has more info on the M60 motor than the E34 manual) and also have a great step by step guide that I found on a website for the entire job.

I've never heard a 7 being called a flatty. But i see where it stems from.
