What price you looking at?
E90 is also a solid car. I have a LCi and love it! For a guy coming from a M5 to a 320d you will definitely need some work done on it! They not slow once they tuned but they also not fast!

:roflol: no no my daily is a 1.3 Yaris so the 320D is to replace that. Sure that will be an upgrade.

M5 was a weekend car.
Am I allowed to put price and those things on the Forum?

Thanks for the comments

We are already talking about it and it seems to have gathered people's attention. Definitely got my attention. I don't see why not...

but then again I am not an admin or moderator and rules are rules.

Thanks Splintheter.

Just mainly need advise the newer 320Ds are they as tough as the older ones? I know the e46 320Ds were very durable.

This is not entirely true. Having had 3 E46 320ds over the years I can truthfully say that they aren’t very durable cars

The newer 320ds have had all the previous weaknesses sorted out and are really reliable (swirl flaps, injectors etc etc.). Fuel consumption vs performance on these cars are also insane, so you can’t go wrong.

Thank you Ferdi that's good news as that gives me a little more to choose from I guess.

So E90 is ok to go for? any specific year models to look at?

The facelift E90s (2010 onwards) will be the best ones to go for as they had the 130/135kw motors that you find in the F30 as well. These cars are really awesome to drive and are surprisingly nippy during everyday use.

I had a 2002 M5 silver as well with the heritage leather option - superb car reasonable fuel consumption considering it’s a 5.0 V8

But this car needs to be tuned to be great - stock form it’s a highway runner around town it’s cumbersome and bulky to drive

I did software and full exhaust - seriously this car sounded like C63 and the software gave it enough extra grunt to make urban driving better

It’s like I was driving in sports mode all the time - without the exhaust it did 230kws on the wheels from 200kws on RGM dyno the full exhaust and decat added another 5-10kws

I recommend no box for the cats as it drones at 1500rpm and I lost power 2nd gear corners became 3rd gear corners by simply using a straight pipe by the cats - it did add volume to the exhaust and I was worried it was too loud - but in the car it’s perfect and with the windows shut it’s a burble - zero drone

Outside the car it can be heard before seen - I once heard the car at a robot looked around for what was making that sound and to my surprise it was my wife driving in front of me

Totally awesome car... this car if KMs are original is worth R250k+ easily

Holy shit this thing is neat. This is one car I will always have a special place in my heart for! what a stunning example!

I would love to own one of these cars. The sound of that motor is just pure awesomeness!
Also these rims have been a favorite of mine since I was a kid!

Dude, do not sell this car.

I had one.

I sold it for an E92 335, N54-powered, which I modded to shyte.
It was faster. I justified the performance and wanting an "auto" as a daily.
I then got an E90 335, N55-powered.
I'm now back in an M5, in F10 flavour and I wish that I had kept and paid off the E39.

The E39 M5 is one of the best cars in the world and you would be foolish to sell it if you want something newer for any reason other than the E39 costing you money.
If its costing you too much money, fair enough.
There is NO other reason you should sell it. Ever.

Ah you guys....:blueCry:

Reading these posts makes me want to cry. They are quite special arent they.
Not really the car thats the reason for the sale. Sorry I might have made it look that way. I will be replacing my yaris ( yes you read right :smilebounce:) with the 320D.

The M5 sale is for family business reasons unfortunately.

Thank you all for the kind comments really appreciate your thoughts.

Welcome!

Fantastic looking Car!

on the 320d advice, I have a 2011 E90 M Sport 320d, and I never thought id say it about a diesel but I absolutely love it, IMO the most well balanced car as a daily drive. maybe a bit boring but it does whatever you ask of it well enough.

Thanks Beemerfanatic & Momo 1.

Ive drivin the 320D and its not boring at all. I loved the torque of that car.

I must say the M5 scares me sometimes. You can feel it was built for the Autobahn not the N1:smilebounce:

Have a good weekend Boys.
