Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum and a die hard BMW fan, I am in the process of getting my first BMW YAY-Joy

The car I am interested in is a 2007 E90 320i Manuel Alpine White with black leather trimming. Its a standard model. It only has 38000 km YES only 38k and motor plan until Sep 2014.

I need some of your expert advise,

1. What is the general fuel consumption on this baby? is it heavy?
the car will be used to work and back roughly 30kilos a day. What will i get on a full tank?

2. I am not worried about speed etc, so what is your honest opinion on the car? will it be a good family car?

any other advise will be appreciated.

it has always been said rather go for a 320d, best bang for buck. what is your budget?
If you dont want a diesel look at a 323 or 325 but manual.

Wow,that's great mileage at a decent price. Where are you? 30km's a day, even if you're averaging 12l/100km's,will last you a relative amount of time. Like the guys say,the 320d is awesome in this space, but that's quite a deal. Good luck and many happy miles.

I have a 07 320i, with highway driving i get mine down to the low 8l/100.
In town driving it goes up to about 9.3/100.

Not to bad in the grand scheme of things.
Im sure a 320d would be in the region of the low 6/100's
but its turbo VS non turbo.

All relative brother.

PS: I also drive the Sh1T outta my car.

I have a 320i A/T with decat combined average is 11.5l/100km:yuck:

On highways though, looking at 7-9lt/100km

Thats incredibly low mileage for an 07'

One word of advice.

Please have the car looked at by professionals if possible, a E90 320i @ R120 000 with 38 000km is not commonly heard of.

Thanks Akash, I know the person selling it and he doesnt use the car that often hence the low kms.

Thats the main reason why I am keen on this car as the kms are very low and still has motor plan till 2014.

Hi Messay,

I drive mostly around town where my 320i gets 11l/100km, with a moderate foot. On the open road I get about 8l/100km.
On a full tank I get about 450-530km combined, depending on traffic, A/C, windows open, etc.

It is a great family car, very comfortable and you will feel safe. The price and mileage you quoted is fantastic.

BUT I'm with everyone else here in saying the 320d is the one to go for.
320d FTW

Good luck bud.

Wow. If you're getting the car that cheap, fuel consumption wouldn't even be an issue :bravo:

So all looks good, thanks for the advice.
