Hi, so I am new to this forum..

I'm having issues with my BMW x3 Diesel and have had it with this car! I feel like i just want to sell it as is and get it out of my life ASAP.:thumbdo: Some warning lights are currently on. I had someone do the diagnostics on it and they did not pick anything faulty up and said it is possibly the "transfer case - which is something that is very costly. (I'm no mechanic..what women know about cars is zero.)

Any suggestions? That would really really help...
(oh, it is a 2008 BMW x3 Diesel Auto with 145kms on)

I will upload a picture soon. Its the 4x4, handbrake, ABS light and I think also the airbag light..I have tried advertising it / selling it for R130k as is but the lights on the dash obviously put potential buyers off.

Thank you for your response. :=):

Mel

oh ok no its fine then if you know what lights they are. But hold on before you try & sell it. You don't want someone taking advantage of the situation & you losing out! so i read you said it drives like normal on the other thread? no jerking etc.?

If it is only lights, then it might be loose connections or broken wires instead of an actual mechanical fault. Ask Gert at OBDWorx to take a look for you, he is very helpful and will point you in the right direction.

Where are tou based? If Benoni is convenient then you welcome to bring it past. If there is a real issue with the transfer case i do know guys that can sort it out for a hell of a lot less than what you were quoted

get the codes read and take it from there bud you don't wanna make a hasty decision and regret it later

Thanks, Charly. Diagnostics guy said it was something with the transfer case. Car drive / performance has not changed. Engine, turbo etc all 100%. I will try the battery and get a second / third opinion too. Alot of useful information, suggestions and contacts on this forum. Thumbs up! :=):
