wow, what an interesting engine layout.. the two turbo's nestle between the cylinder heads, with intake flow from the OUTSIDE towards the valley and exhaust manifolds.. with the turbo's dumping spent gasses to the front of the engine.. something completely non-traditional :thumb:

refers to divided turbine housings.. keeping oposed exhaust pulses seperate, increasing effieciancy..

Twinz, how did the white ///M5 with Sakhir Orange interior in Frankfurt look in person?

Car and Driver has apparently already achieved 0-100kph in 3.8s and it's run the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 20 seconds less than the E60.

It does 0-160 in 8.7 seconds, which is faster than a 911 GT3 RS and Murcielago, does it in the same time as a F430 Spider, R8 V10 and 997 911 Turbo, and is only 0.2 secs slower than the GTR to 160.

Apparently in the new Top Gear episode it gets pitted against the E63. I predict heartache for Benz fans...

Seriously though, there's no getting away from the fact that Turbo's are the future. Massive NA motors are fantastic, but just not efficient enough. A real shame but also exciting

We liked the M5 in white with its orange/red interior. But the exterior and interior did not exhibit the same "wow" feeling than the M5 in monte carlo blue with the ice/ivory white interior. The white looked even more understated than the blue.

However, the media guys that I chatted with who were sitting with me in the M5 preferred the red and or black interior...they did not recommend any other colour. Red & black less likely to show up dirt as oppose to the other colours.

Got a price at BMW for one today. R1 145 000, as usual with the M5 there's not much options to choose from. 20'' wheels come in at 25k or something.
