Do you have a source?
Daniel Van der Walt ... Sales guy at Porsche ... Friend buying new Gt3 so they were telling him it's delayed and he had to pay like now to lock price else the increase

On m4 I was told just under R1m base ... But all speculation at the moment no one can be sure

I dunno… I've been through it with Porsche, no matter what deposit you make, or when you make it, if there is a price increase you are NOT protected.
You get to either pay more or cancel your order - that's how they treat their clients. (I paid R70k more than my order/deposit price, despite waiting 5 months for delivery)

That about sums it up. My vehicle was originally scheduled for delivery in January, and was later changed to Feb 2014. This week I was told that I had to pay for the vehicle in full by December or pay 10-15% more if i decided to pay upon arrival. I dont think its fair/legal to pay more once you were invoiced for a certain amount. The customer should not be forced to fork out more since Porsche refuses to keep an inventory of new vehicles. Love the cars but hate the service in SA
adamr said:Porsche too arrogant ... It's like you have bought a sectional title to the car lol. I've used those exact words: love the brand just not Porsche SA ... Esp the deal with the mplan ... 10-15% it's a crazy increase ... Lol recall when speccing the Gts, Porsche loves to sit down over coffee and spec the car with you ... So my friends that were coming with me told them :" these b1tches are going to rape me, make sure you eat as much of their cupcakes and drink as much cappuccino as you can"
ChrisBrand said:Im sorry R1.3, even for an M3/4, is just crazy. Then again, when you see 2.0 litre turbos going for R500 000.00+ it puts it in perspective.
But in that price range I could get a R35 GTR, or a second hand Porsche GT3, or an R8, or a Maserati, or, or ,or...
Think I will rather look at a clean e92 M3, x35i.

At the risk of drifting off topic.
At least you got the option to pay in full and save on the price increase - I never got that option. I would have gladly paid in full to save the R70k increased price.
Not sure what you've ordered, but don't let it bug you, those cars are amazing, well worth the price. But yes, they have a sense of arrogance about them and they have completely tied up the used market too.
