So After the Sonata was written off in December , we finally got delivery of its replacement :) Extremely happy with the car so far , I have taken it for a short drive . Its nothing fancy , but myself and parents like it and its got sooo much more power .

Its an F30 320i Automatic , Mineral white metallic , Led headlamps, Sunroof , PDC , and some other options , I had asked them to add on Mudflaps , Window smash and grab and give us rubber car mats .

The color looks really nice in different lighting conditions , sometimes , it looks white, sometimes , silver , sometimes gold , and then there's the in between where I don't know what color im looking at .

Nice colour - you didn't go M sport.... Was SE your preference ?
I know that the F30s come in sport, lux line and one other trim finish.

Which one have you got?

Thanks guys! Really really appreciate it. Receiving a new car after the sonata crash is like closure after one has been written of . It truly does put your mind at rest .

The F30 does feel a lot more solidly built , higher quality , and stable then the Sonata, but we still do miss the Sonata , It was a very big comfortable car and had so many many many features as standard that this car only had as extra options. But very happy with the F30 so far . It truly does feel like a safer car as well ..

@Jerez , im not sure , whats SE ?

But , the car is a base model , Sport was out of the question , to low , bigger wheels , Sport seats , harder suspension etc , and the Luxury line didn't make much sense this time , there were hardly any real worthwhile options given as part of the lux line , On my E46 it included quite a few extras that were worthwhile extras that I still use everyday.

On the F30 , If I remember it included Chrome exterior parts ,Extra interior lighting and maybe a different trim on the door sils which didn't make much sense considering it was over R16 000 extra. So we chose to keep it as a base model and added the options that we liked.

The color Mineral white Metallic , Sunroof , Sports leather steering, Full LED headlamps , Connected drive package ,17 inch 413 wheels , Automatic transmission where the main options That i can remember. The interior has the Satin Silver trim with black leather seats .

We also had a budget , so had to try and keep it within that .

@cOlDFuSiOn yup , it has mudflaps all round, We had actually asked the dealer to fit on the mudflaps and the window smash and grab before taking delivery , it wasn't spec with the car from factory, Always good to have mudflaps! Been protecting the paint on all our cars since new . Will never drive a car with out it :)

They were a little concerned at the time when we requested it , saying that it might not look good , not sure if they were available ,also stating that they haven't fitted mudflaps to a car in years , but once fitted the BMW Genius was surprised at how it turned out . It actually looks quite nice in person and complements the rest of the car .

@Nick@TheFanatics The Tail lights are so cool , it has a sort of red/pinkish/magenta glow to them at night , its not fully red and has a beautifull glow to it at night.
The front headlamps are so bright I like the color of the new LED headlamps its of a different shade of blue to that of the Xenon lamps on my E46 , but for some reason I find the high beams on my E46 Xenon headlamps to be brighter even though the F30s beam seems to go further?

Also , the steering feel takes some getting used to , it feels different , there is a marked difference between this car and my E46 , my E46 feels a lot more connected , like its part of the car ? Im not sure what the correct word is . But there seems to be a lot less steering feel in the new car. It works very well though but feels a little odd sometimes. It tightens up when on the highway , Gets loose when driving at slower speeds . But still has that Playstation steering wheel feel ?
