Fuel price increase on Wednesday, petrol going up by 41cents per liter :bangdesk:

So I've done one full tank on the new 50ppm Engen diesel and here are my takes on it.. definite smoother power delivery and yes I did feel a gain in performance . My fuel consumption came down from 8.2L/100 with V-power to 7.9 with a bit heavier foot (wanted it to adapt good), currently with the new tank sitting on 7.7 and that's including trying to run away from nasty looking weather yesterday aka sport mode all the way from work to home.

So yes I will only be using Engen from now until Shell brings out a better offering.

Hi Guys,

I use Caltex diesel with techron mainly, I normaly get 900km on 60L. Last two tanks been else where and it went down to 850km or less.

50/50 City Highway.

Just filled my car yesterday, will try Engen next time. First I have to find one near by.

My second last fill was with Sasol. Very unhappy. My last fill was with Engen. Still half a tank to go. Very happy

I use Sasol, have been using it since i have the Diesel. Will give Engen a try at the next fill up.

Thing is, the Sasol where i fill up is R11.80 per litre at the moment. Every where is roughly 50c more per L for 50ppm.
