Good to see this being used as intended Nick! It seems like there is great support from the dealers and community generally speaking. It was definitely a great buy.

She seems to be chugging along well!

I'm curious - what does the real world fuel consumption look like in your experience?

it ranges between 8.5l per 100 in traffic and 5.9/6.6l on the open road.
Last week in the park, moving at very low speeds it went up to about 9.5/100.

25k Service done yesterday.
The 10k went super fast seeing as i was doing 140km a day commuting, iv moved to the north now so this interval will be far longer.

After 25k of hardish work she needs nothing, Front brake pads are at 6mm atm so that will be done in the next few months.

all is well.

Apologies if I've missed a prior mention of this, but what paint issues have you encountered?

Its been years since iv had to get out a car and manually adjust the left side mirror.
Not even a little stalk thingie in the car...

so on the right rear fender, i noticed that the shade of white was slightly off, and there were a few tiny cracks happening above the taillight.
i feel like the load bins are made and painted somewhere separate to the car itself.

My car was a demo so there were one or two chips/scratches on the panel too, my OCD got the better of me and i took in back to GWM.
They agreed and have sent the car in to get the paint work redone on that panel.

lucky this car is just white, so it should be easy enough to match.

When i get her back she is going to Prash at Precision Glaze for a detail and paint treatment.

Ah, that's a pity. At least good to hear that they are willing to come to your aid.

I hope it comes back meeting expectation!

No you don't...nothing wrong with your mindset. If the money is right, the product or service must also be right - doesn't matter the brand.

Still don't think a Dr is gonna help hahahaha. I did hear on the radio this morning that holding ice in your hand when you have a panic attack helps :ROFLMAO:. My 320d is so full of stone chips again on the front bumper...it disturbs me so much that I don't wana look at the front of the car from close. As such...I am getting a quote from BMW to re-spray the bumper and bonnet and gonna do VPS this time.

We headed off to Pilanesberg for the long weekend.
FYI - DO NOT take a car in there, the roads are shocking, surfaces washed away, loose rocks everywhere, flooded roads.

Anyway the P did it all with ease, drove her for 8 hours straight in the park, the guy in the Defender was mad at me because i just followed him through everything haha.
Some pics below.
