New 4-series...!!! and 2-series...!!!

I must say, why do the renderings always look so much better than the cars that actually get produced? I mean if some random dude that is a bmw fan design a perfectly fine bmw, why cant a team of designers not make some stuff look better.

BMW were considering the same no. system for the E90/E92 and decided against it. Don't think anything has changed now.

Because all renderings have 20" wheels and lowered suspension.
But Wildspeed is a fan drawn rendering, he is excellent though.

BMW have been using this numbering system for alot longer then Audi.

I dont really care what they call them. 1 series, 2 series, 3 series, 4 series etc. If I like the look, and the performance, and its a BMW, I will be interested. Currently the new 1 series is not doing it for me. I have tried really really hard to like it, and I am still trying, but it doesn't fill my heart with joy.

That being said, I am sure they are still nice cars as they are BMWs, and looks are very subjective, so I am not dissing the model.

Don't hold your breath, if they do another one chances are they will probably fit it with a 2.0l turbo engine.

BMW have been using this numbering system for alot longer then Audi.

But audi was the first to call the coupe versions of their sedans +1 number eg. a4 coupe became a5.. thats what I'm talking about. according to this thread 3 series coupe become 4 series.
