Hey guys,

Found this article with a good photo of the new 3 Series. Doesnt say much about engine capacities ets, except for the fact that there is a 3 cylinder on the cards, and the M3 will revert back to a 6 cylinder. And it will be buildt in India... Didn't BMW just spend like 2 Billion to upgrade the Rosslyn plant??

If that is true that the new 3 series will be built in india, they are going to lose MASSIVE credibility

I just hope those fogs arent 'LED'... They did that to the Merc C-Class when they facelifted it... I think it makes the car look cheap.

Nose of the car is angled too sharply towards the middle and the front of the car seems to be out of proportion with the more chunky rear.... lets hope it looks better in the flesh than the pics if this is the final product.

What assumptions are you basing this on?

 i dont think country matters, the manufacturing plant is all that counts, most people dont even realise where there cars come from, you can have the most advance plant with the best of everything with the best engineers from all over the world and it could be in based in the North pole.

In terms of engine capacity I think all the new 3's will have a range of 4 pot and 4 pot turbo engines, and the m3 will either have a twin turbo V6 or I6 engine, I am hoping that they will at least stay away from a V6, but the way things are going I will not be surprised if they go the V6 route.

Also I think the new 3 will have electric power steering as opposed to the hydraulic once we have know, so possibly also time to say goodbye to direct and meaty steering we are used to.

:pimp:
It looks as if an elephant sat on it and pressed the grill and everything down,
Seriously, I don't like it.
Maybe if the lines were kept more stright, like in the new 6 and 5 series...
but if it's going to look like on that article...
