New 2 series Coupe

Finally, faith has been restored and sanity prevails.
Proper RWD or rear-biased AWD small coupes.
No FWD, front-biased AWD Mini platform sharing crap.
That M240i seems like an awesome pick - but I expect pricing to be north of R1m easily.
The 230i, while being a 4 pot, can be seen as a smaller 330is and that is not a bad thing, if pricing can be kept reasonable. Granted, it is still a turbo 4 cylinder.

I guess the good news, especially for us penny pinchers, is that when this new 2 series Coupe is released, the current 2 series Coupe values should drop a bit. A slightly used M240i may be a brilliant used buy. I wonder if dealers will start discounting their old stock soon.

Small bmw coupes never disappoint. Definitely looks much much better than the 4 door version.
Not so sure about those taillights, might possibly look better in the flesh.

Not too bad,
I feel it has some styling queues from the Fiat 124 Spyder.

Saying that, its a worthy update in design. that M240i example looks like it has a very wide rear end, very M2-esque.

With the new-car-prices being higher and higher, dont expect to see a drop in used car prices. It's currently evident with the lack of good clean used stock.

That goodness I cannot afford this car. I can't stand the thought of saying no to a "small" sized BMW coupe.

The current second Hand prices for m240i are holding well. R650k plus for most 2 years or newer. If they 2021 close to R800k.
So if the new one is over R1m I think they’ll stay there and the cheaper ones might even creep up in price.

They’ll be considered bargains at R300k or R400k less than new models. Same engine and I bet on the dyno they’ll make same power.

anyways new one looks great except that rear.
