Ekse you missed the budget of 280k part. Unless you referring to E90 30d?
F30 30d usually go for more than that, or much higher mileage. Depending how maintained, can be an option I suppose. N57 is pretty bulletproof.
Yes Sir, meant E90 330d. They bulleproof and a few running around with decent mileage but will need to shop around.

Does it really make sense buying mother car in this market to save the mileage on the F85 (even with fuel costs taken into account)?
Its manageable for now to daily drive it. However with the kind of mileage of doing at this rate, I think its better to preserve it. Wouldn't want anything to go wrong with this car, repairs are pretty expensive on an M.

Why not an E82 120d? The coupe was a seriously pretty car, it will be practical for a daily, and economical.
Then hammer M life on weekends.
E82s are awesome, my soon to be vrou has a 125i Coupe and I love the shape of it.

Unfortunately the 120d is still pretty expensive for its age, which makes more sense to get something newer for a little bit more.

You chose wisely (y)
It’s actually the only car she’s ever owned and still going strong 🫣. It’s only got 75000km on it and it’s a 2013 model. We are planning to upgrade it to something bigger and more spacious.

She wants an Evoque, but I told her I’m cancelling the wedding if she wants to buy a piece of shit 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Of course, will keep you updated.

Its a well taken care of example, she hardly ever uses it these days. Her parents bought it as a demo for her 18th birthday back in 2014.

It may not be fast as cars in todays world, but its a special car.

Someone else posted this car on this thread when I first started it. I can't help but notice the price has been reduced by R50K.

I never thought of the N20 at all considering I know the timing chains are the biggest issues with these cars. Seeing the drop in price made me think about it a bit more about this particular model. I did research a few things regarding the N20 and apparently the 2015 and above N20s had a new design making it less prone to the timing chain failures.

I'm not sure exactly how true the above statement is, but considering the 328i isn't underpowered compared to the 320i, what's the worst that could go wrong regarding it apart from timing chain of course ? If I get this, there won't be any need to tune it since it has decent power.

What is the build date on the car seeing as its a pre-lci? If I remember the LCI models with the B48 was released in 2015.
Gave them a call, it is a 2015 model, but registered as a 2016 since its one of the very last batch of 328's built.

They already have someone waiting for finance approval on it, so chances are its already sold.
