Wouldn’t mind a 320d or a 330d. It’s just that they usually hard to come by and the ones in my budget are close to 200k mileage or so. I’m open to one though, I know how solid bmw diesels are

B48 with a tune will be thirsty for a daily driver.
My 2c would be to spend some time looking for a good deal on a F30 320D.

Your ex-Audi fuel consumption is in the same ball park as N55, given that its a nice motor, you might end up with higher figures than 11l per 100kms.
If you pace yourself, you might find a reasonably priced 320d at your budget range.
Between the two options you mentioned, B48 it is.

Why not an E82 120d? The coupe was a seriously pretty car, it will be practical for a daily, and economical.

I average between 7.5 to 8.2 doing daily duties. This is a 84km round trip to work and back 2 days a week. Just sticking to normal traffic speed.

Get yourself a nice 330d, you seem to want to have some comfort, space, and power when needed and daily, fuel saving is always welcomed.
The 320i's or B48s are nice and you can get it tunes as well but the extra torque on that 30d will fill the gap for when you missing the X5M through the week...just enough to tie you over.

The F20 M135i was truly one of a kind. Its a car I also quite miss a lot. Its bound to be worth something in the future since nobody at the time made a RWD hot hatch with an inline 6. I drove the F40 M135i and its nowhere near to what the F20 was.
In terms of a replacement, I'd say either another F20 M135i but LCI or M140i.

Ekse you missed the budget of 280k part. Unless you referring to E90 30d?
F30 30d usually go for more than that, or much higher mileage. Depending how maintained, can be an option I suppose. N57 is pretty bulletproof.
