N55 misfire under load

Weird , I have the same problem on my BMW135i , and have been told I need to replace the turbo charge pipes , at around R9600 for the job. Have you gotten to the bottom of your problem ? As reading it , it’s like for like problem with my car.

@Mamboza: Thanks - trying to get the original tuner to help me out.

@Mstent: If you have an N55 engine - that may be true as the factory charge pipes are prone to cracking after time - not sure on the N54... Though either way you should be able to get it checked/tested.

My issue was defective new spark plugs - which I eventually discovered through trial and error, research and help from the fanatics.

My 2013 435i develops misfire under hard acceleration then throws drivetrain malfunction code

So initial code I got was
118001 mixture too lean

After drivetrain malfunction comes up codes are as follows
14001 combustion misfires several cylinders fuel injection switched off
140010 combustion misfires several cylinders detected
140301 combustion misfires cylinder 3 fuel injection is switched off
140301 combustion misfires cylinder 3 detected

This morning it went to cylinder 1 misfire
On another day it will be cylinder 4 misfire

When I turn the car off and on again it drives normally but only recurs on hard acceleration

I've changed plugs bmw OEM and no resolution
Also been running mhd stage 2 plus and xhp stage 3. Flashed car to completely stock and still having the same issue.
Also had coils swopped and injectors tested
Problems persist.
Any advice ?

Hi,

We had a car in this week with the same issue it was the wiring on one of the lambda sensors.

Customer has put 6 new plugs and coils which didn't help.

We found the issue on the lambda and the car is perfect now

I'm 86.7% sure it's o2 sensors also. 🤣

Had "sputters" under acceleration on my e92 m3 and changing the 02 sensors cured it. Even though it didn't throw a fault code for it.

Did you manage to resolve this issue, I am having a similar issue
