Okay my intake finally arrived ended up paying R3900 shipped in jst over a week including import duties of R499,
Firstly the parts are all wrinkle black coated over the aluminum looks really really good,
All screws and bolts where perfect fits which i have actually experience with an intake i usually find something never fits
Install
As for the install,
It took me about 1h30m, first time which isnt bad considering i struggled with the one hole u have to drill to move the power steering resevoir.
Other than that install was a breeze, instructions were very detailed and EVERY single piece from the Ijnen Kit fits almost 100% which was awesome,
The pipe goes all the way down to the turbo housing so its a whole new intake system, the top half where the cone is connects to a stock filter mount and is extremely firm so no moving there!.
All the joins with the rubber hose fittings are awesome no way the pipe is gonna leak or pop off like the AFE intake which was an extremely rushed part now to loook at it.
Results
Start the car, and no engine likes:joy:
Thanks to some design Injen uses and clains its a tuned intake blah blah, i did notice in the intake pipe near the MAF there as another aluminum pipe welded on the inside of the intake, (obviously to mimic the airflow seen my the maf in the stock intake).
The sound is amazing! Very loud blow off on acceleration but quiet enough when driving conservatively,
I think there is a little bit of power gained (may jst be the noise) but on the G's meter on my steering wheel in 2nd gear i never really get above 0.42 g's and now with then intake im consistently getting 0.45g's (so a slight increase in torque?)
I have posted some pictures and a very short video just to show the sound.
But im extremely happy with this N55 intake:thumbs:
here i tried to get a view so u can see the pipe goes all the way to the turbo housing
