here is the list of my changes, luckily under MP:
injectors , hpfp, water pump(R5500), belts + tentioners, charge pipe, brake pads + discs, power cable recall, some other odds n ends i cant think of, but yes they eat rear tyres very quick and petrol, you need lots of petrol....

mine is daily driver

I use mine daily. Put 30000 on the past two years and get around 450 on a tank.
I try do all the warm starts and letting the car idle.
It's been fine until of late

Drinks petrol, eats rear tyres. Puts a huge smile on my face! Worth it.
The reliability issues also really worried me when I got mine (2008 with 70,000kms). Got it a few months back and best thing I've done. All the HPFP issues were mainly with USA cars (higher ethonal in their fuel). Check that you not getting a lemon/friday car by checking whats been done under MP. N54 engine is amazing just gotta look after it.

Ive Been driving a 125i for the past 2 or 3 months, the fuel consumption has been horrible, I do mostly highway driving and I was averaging 12l per 100 driving like miss daisy.

My previous vehicle was a modded GTI which averaged no more than 10l per 100 and that was spirited driving all the time.

lol I honestly think that the consumption will be better than the 125i,,,

I have scrutinised the MP report and its a spotless vehicle. Will probably know today.
