R25k for labour is insane. Hectic! Its time consuming, but sheez..

Not 25k for labour. :smashScreen:. Turbo's were recon as well, and a few other things were sorted out as well at the same time.

Yae R25k is a rip off of note.
You can buy the mmp stage 3 turbos for 3000Usd thats about R40000!
Or mmp stage 3 turbos and manifolds for 3300usd!

So true, but at the time, I did not know better. If I did, wouldn't have stayed on stock turbos as the alternatives are not to far off with the price. I have learnt a lot since then though.

All you can do is learn from your mistakes...

Not as yet unfortunately.

They are trying to slot me in next month to get it sorted out. They are yet to disclose a solution to the issue though so I am not sure what they will be doing on the car to get the rattle so I am going to wait for feedback. Hopefully, they will come back to me soon.

It has been 6 months already that I have had the car back with the rattle. Just want to get it fixed at this point. Can't wait to hear the car purr without that stupid rattle. Most irritating thing ever. lol

So guys/gals, what are the companies who can assist to get the turbo rattle fix installed into my car? Spoke with TT and they advised that they have their own kit so cannot assist with the kit I purchased. Wish I knew that before I purchased it.

Speak to Afzil. His done a few sets for the JHB guys already.

If I had confidence in their "secret fix", I would have used them, but for a repair center to not want to disclose what they want to do on "my car" is not acceptable. This is not a lucky packet, it is an expensive car that can be even more expensive to fix if something else goes wrong for whatever reason.

I will use somebody else to get the car done as I have the Rattle repair kit already.

Afzil doesn't own a company, his a Rennzport Member who has extremely good ties with a company that does, so his helped quite a few of us out with the rattle as well as blown turbos. Give him a shout and you can then make a final decision.

Spoke to Afzil. He does know his stuff and has done over 20 cars with this issue. And his pricing is very fair. Now I look back at what I paid to get this done initially, should have went to him from the onset. A lot cheaper then what I paid to have the Turbo's recon as well.

Since the turbo's are coming out for the second time, we going to inspect and see if everything is fine with them and then proceed to fit the rattle kit.

Will update this thread as the car gets sorted out. He does seem to have some nice contacts for the parts and the engineer's for fitment of the kit and the turbo recon.

So, I got pricing for all the parts and Afzil should be the one fitting everything. Didn't realize that every seal has to be redone again because the turbo's are coming out. Parts should be ordered by next week and then we can start on the car.

Can wait for it to be done. Waiting for the car to be silent and awesome again. :ty:
