n43 engine better than n46

Guys i have a big hole on my engine sump, is it repairable if it is where can I take it
or I must get myself a new second hand engine. I wanted the n43, is it compatible with the 2006 320i e90 or do i need to change the gear box and engine mountings and also remap my computer box or not, please help me out, or should I settle for the n46?
