In terms of annoyances with the car:

1 - no temperature gauge - something I had never noticed until now.
2 - still finding a seating + steering position that "works" for me
3 - need to restore some of the plastics on the interior quite badly
4 - need to fix the sunglasses holder (prices online look horrendous for the part though :/)

Congratulations on the new purchase! They're great cars to own.
In terms of your first point, it has the only temp gauges you need. The shift lights on the tachometer are based on coolant temp, which means once all but one yellow disappears your coolant is up to standard operating temp (although this doesn't tell you if the coolant overheats). And of course you know that the gauge on the bottom right is your oil temp.

I wish you many happy kilometers.
:withStu: pffff you see, so easy ask the guys. then
4. should they not be on your face while driving
2. drop it like its hot and your are driving Durban streets, on the floor.

Haha - I meant to indicate outdoor ambient temperature :)

Nah, the "complaints" are more about just getting used to the car, I've always got accuweather on the phone for weather reports anyway :)

Congratulations on a beauty of a car!
I believe you will enjoy it. It is an amazing vehicle.
Got mine August 2016 and the smile on my face is as big as day number 1. Also fetched mine in Gauteng and drove back in one day with an average consumption of 10.4 km/ l.
Maybe we must organise a Z4M Coupe get together here in Cape Town.
I've saw Bavaria-WP the other day in Durbanville area.

So, minor annoyances solved:

Figured out how to get to the exterior temperature (button on stalk)

Minor annoyance introduced:
Have had new front tyres installed. However I suspect they bumped something out of place in doing the alignment/balancing.

I now get a low speed squeal from the front (at anything lower than 20km/h) and it becomes a proper whine when braking at parking lot speeds (5-15km/h).

Any ideas? Should I just go back and have them check my alignment to see if they've made some mess up?

Regards

Could be the balancing or alignment

The choice of tyres I found has a huge impact

I had those Csl wheels on with Falkens on them and they were horrendously noisy, especially under braking

Fitted my original wheels back on and quiet as can be

That's sounds like an awesome idea
Would be quite a sight to have a few together
Always only one or two on the runs would be nice to have more

Ja, I'm eager to go on a run - I missed the one to Franschoek so always eager.

I think it's just the pads and discs bedding in still, seems to go away when car is up to heat (as it was this afternoon).

The original rim is so unique (did it go on anything besides the Z4M cars?) I don't see any need to swap it out :)

Check to make sure they didn't bend or dent the dust shield while doing alignment, it maybe touching the disc somewhere.
