What happens to the old X3? :mmm:

My sister in law is buying it.

Oh and what punishment do you choose for berating the diesel lovers in the past? :bat:

Was the punishment of pissing away petrol on a thirsty SUV not enough?

Thanks for the comments guys, I drove it on the highway for the first time today and the torque is bloody amazing! No need for downshift or use more than 50% throttle to dispatch those right lane hogs that move over for no-one. The diesel makes for fast and effortless left-lane overtaking, Im kicking myself here for not going with diesel power sooner, it suits my style of driving better than petrol powered cars...:fencelook:

There is no smilies for this.... we told you so.....

There is a diesel particulate filter just after the turbo, one silencer in the middle of the car and lastly the backbox. So Im supposed to remove the diesel particulate filter? Is the software there to cancel errors from removing the diesel particulate filter?

Did decats on my 2006 E60 530d as well as Stiaan's 2006 320d and just knocked out the cats and refitted the empty boxes and put back the sensors and had no lights/problems afterwards. I know some people on the forum disagrees with me about knocking out and not replacing with dp but it works for me and i do not think there is a noticeable performance difference there except wallet wise. Would also clean and disconnect the egr and remove the swirl flaps whilst you are working on the inlet manifold. My E60 530d pre lci shows eml when i disconnect the egr but funnily enough Stiaans white 2008 facelift does not show any warning lights under same condition.

Browny points indeed seeing as it's her wallet that takes the brunt at the pump everytime.

Does this motor have swirl flaps?

I removed the NW plates today to make way for the GP ones, had to take some pics without plates. Car looks great without them, pity it's illegal...

Fitted the new plates and removed the badges for that "clean" look, all my cars are de-badged.

Those LED licence plate lights really do shed some light and give the car an updated look.

There are lower wattage ones available, I chose bright ones to make the black X3 more visible at night as the tail lights aren't bright. On the white the LEDs look much brighter.
