New owner drove the nissan away today. Very sad feeling... Nothing prepares you for it until it's final.

Shame. I know all too well what you are talking about.

Only once in my entire car history did i say "good riddance"

It's even worse leaving it at Jo'burg station to be shipped down to Cape Town. You arrive in your car and leave with nothing.

Just got back home and typing this message having a cup of tea at 0930 am. I am still going to write a whole lot as this was one of the most epic 3 days of my life.

Short version

Flew down to cape town on tuesday, met up with Ish saw and loved the car, got it, spent the night and drove back the next day. Get a phone call from operations by bloemfontein at around 8pm to say I'm flying at midnight to durban. So needless to say I put some foot and got home in time to drop my dad, shower, feed, change pack and get to the airport. I took the diesel to the airport at least. Couldn't bear thinking of leaving the new toy out in the cold on it's maiden trip with the new owner.

Anyway guys. Will probably start a new thread with all the pics and vids I've taken. My memory cards ran out so couldn't take videos of the karoo and free state etc..

Lot's of stories to share, cops pulling us over fishing for bribes etc. Cars not pulling over for cops followed by hot pursuit etc... And of course sheer driving pleasure. And lots of it!

I'm going to sleep till next week now, so don't hold your breath. This is by far the most tired I have ever been. And Absolutely loved every moment of it!

Man I love camps bay so much. Just cape town in general. If I could wangle a job there I would move in a heartbeat.
