The magnitude of the lack of wide issue (the biggest problem with OEM e46 wheels) :

I know the feeling with the "can't go any lower" on the e46 Individual.

Is that 245 or 255 on the back?

The Individual is lower than the Sport Pack - in the region of 20-25mm lower.

I'm jealous...:fencelook:

Don't be, 255/35/18 tyres are some of the most expensive around, two of them cost only about 30% less than a full set of tyres for the M3 (same brand)

why is this... extra weight?

No idea, doubt it is extra weight cause there isn't much extra between the individual and sportpack (unless the individual door sills weigh around 80kg each :roflol: )

Reading up about it I can only find info about the sport springs and that they lower the car by something like 15mm, there is no mention of anything lower on the e46 the e90 you can get the BMW performance springs, that are an additional 5mm lower than the sport springs (and they are yellow, and we all no how fast yellow stuff makes a car) there is no mention that the individual has something different. (the BMW Performance/ sports/ ZHP springs on the e46 all seem to be the same thing)

Though the touring sportpacks seem to be the same height as the saloon individuals.

I was very surprised to see the difference when I got the 330i Sport. I was also under the impression that they would be exactly the same. Took the measuring tape, and low and behold, the 330i is about 25mm higher than the 325i at the back. This was measuring from the floor to the top of the little spoiler on the bootlid.:dropjaw: Measured inside the garage on a level surface.

Strange, my 325i Touring is a Sportspack and its exactly the same height as Sank's 330i, with both you have to have someone lift the side of the car to get a trolley jack under one of the jack points :biglol:

I must admit, I only measured the back and not the front.

So update....have now finally done the exhaust, had it done by Van der Linde systems, some pics:

CRW_1529.jpg

CRW_1532.jpg

CRW_1527.jpg

Will try and post some pics of the system when I have the car in the air again just to show the absolutely perfect workmanship, everything pretty much looks like a OEM system in terms of quality and workmanship only difference is the mufflers.

Some videos;
Before:
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="
" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

After:
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="
" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Exhaust was hot in both cases.

In terms driving the sound is subdued under normal driving, but has a very nice deep aggressive tone when prodded, which for me is perfect. It has tones that kind of reminds me of both s50b30 and s38, but with it own unique sound that I have not heard on a 330i before.

Performance wise it feel the same up to around 3500 RPM from there it feels like the engine opens up a bit, it gives the slight feeling of and engine with a cam where the power delivery was very linear before.
There is also a noticeable improvement in terms of throttle response.

For anyone looking at having very high quality exhaust work done (and willing to pay the price of course) I would definitely recommend Van der Linde systems, some of the best workmanship I have seen.
