Thanx for the link to the replacement rims. I bought the car cash and have to look for other rims a bit later..;) The car has a few things I need to replace first, like the gas lift shocks for the bonnet and also a few other small parts. The common parts for the 7 series are not too expensive at all, parts like the brake pads are very reasonable. Parts specific to the 760 is another story, guess what the V12 badge cost.. :( R650..!!! and one of the badges are broken..!

I also have a rear window that was cracked when a stone of a lawnmower hit it, I thought no problem, but BIG problem, the price for the window alone without installation is R19500.00 ...! The guy I bought the car from said the insurance will possibly cover this repair so let me hope..!

Thus far I have replaced the battery and also put two new rear tyres on, the old ones was dangerous airoplane tyres. Today I bought the boot gas lift shocks, the number plate globes and also two small trims on the inside door handles that are missing.

Still to buy or repair, the rear boot does not stay up when it open, the light switch is damaged (park brake button), the one rear door lock meganism needs attention, the window washer has a small broken plastic t-piece but otherwise everything looks ok at face value. Of course the car is a few years old and I will replace a few of the plastic bit that show signs of wear.

I knew the car had a few faults on it and I bought the car with this in mind, so not too big problem for the price I paid. I will repair the small faults as I get along.

For now one of the first things I want to do is to remove a few dents and scratches for cosmetic reasons.

I would like to see a write up with lots of pictures, this car is legendary.

I promise more pictures at a later stage, today I spend at the license department to get the car registered on my name. The car need a good spring clean as it was handed over to me in not so clean state so I do not want to take pictures like this.. :)

Today when I bought the new spares the spare guy was amazed to see that this car is fitted with virtually every extra that was available at the time, so I got a real good deal here.. :)

:biglol: I was waiting for the first guy to ask me this... :biglol:

I always said I loveeeeee BMW's, it is the bad service from dealers that gets me under, so no, I will not take my car to any dealer thank you.

The work which I can not do myself I will ask help from guys who love BMW's and will do good work for me ** cough cough Gizmo?**

Same here bud, I love my car but dont appreciate the service I get from the stealers. I thought I was expecting too much from BMW because of the excellent service I get from Mercedes-Benz, well seems like im not the only one whos disappointed.

Well actually I saw the V12 badge on the side first and then the wheels :mmm: :), was thinking I should try and get your attention, but thought there is the smallest of chances that this might be another V12 7'er (very small). (Plus you might have though I was some kind of weirdo waving at you from another car  )
Car looks awesome I have to say, still want to see it up close, they are really special.

Hehehehe...

Its a fairly small world is it not.

Wanted to say, I saw this thing on saturday, and I have to comment that it is past EPIC, big chunk of superior engineered german engineering.

Mamba, also did a bit of research, if the insurance does not pay for that rear window, BMW has one for R3,500 that will fit in there without any of the special protective film thingies, but what you can do is just find something that is shaded the same as the others.

Paying 19k+ for a rear passenger window is just beyond insane....

I will be able to do the fitment for you, I have good friends at PG :)
