CP are like the gold standard of pistons, they are pricey though. There are lots of good pistons out there, make sure you choose wisely, because i've heard of certain makes that chip off in pieces slowly on the m's. Are you changing your valve retainers also, because they a weak point on these engines?

hey guys so its been a while since ive posted and just wanted to keep you in formed on the process, the motor has been stripped to a bare minimum, we have custom machined a set of opel pistons to suit, H beam forged rods, new rings and bearings, block has been rebored to 86.5, head has been tested for cracks and imperfections, block acid dipped, everything has been done now all awaits is assembly and putting the motor back, thats on the engine side of things, while thats all been happening i decided to tackle the engine bay and some cosmetics , totally stripped interior, took the carpet out and cleaned it, gave the car a good thorough clean inside and out, still lots more to do!..im happy with the progress of things hopefully this week the motor will go in and a start up map loaded to run the "new" motor in.. stay tuned!!
