My New Daily - Audi Content

Hi Guys,

So as most of you know my M3 got sold very quickly and i was left without transport for a few days.

So my search began for a good daily bellow 100k. Was looking mainly for an e46 Msport/Individual. I had Nikhil and Rish travel with me around Gauteng looking at the horrors that are out there. The state people keep there cars is really terrifying and they are asking way above book for cars that are falling apart. I became desperate decided to just get any clean e46 regardless of what extras it had. We hit more dead ends with really terrible looking cars.

E36s are just non existent any more. Did not find one decent example for sale.

I started looking at e90s. Since i already had an e90 and the interior was just plain i wasnt really into getting another one. I saw a 325i with navigation and said okay this looks good and drove an hour and a half to see it. The car was involved in a pile up and every corner was painted with a paint brush. It was terrible.
It was at that point i ended up looking for something outside of the BMW brand. It was just not working out.
Monday morning myself and Nikhil went to see an e46 330d Msport at a dealership close to our office. I wont even talk about that car. It was left in the amazon with the windows open in the rain and left to dry out in a heatwave for many years.
Just note all the cars above where close to the 100k mark so i was not going for a cheapie in the hopes it was a luck.
As we walked out the dealership we saw the Audi. Just sitting there. We looked at it and it was in mint condition. Slightly over my budget but i really liked it at first glance. Asked for the keys. Went for a drive. Came back to the dealer and Nikhil told me this is the one. So i bought it. Yes Nikhil liked a VAG lol.
So here it is
2010 Audi A4 2.0T 8 speed Auto
120 000km all services done and invoices at Audi all up to date.
Honestly dont know whats standard and whats an option on this car.
Car drives smooth with no funny noises or rattles. Everything works and everything's where it should be.
Its not a BMW drive but its a great daily drive non the less with everything i need.
Plans for the car:
19" Wheels - the 16s are terrible.
Lowering springs (Car sits very high)
Im not going to mess with the cars power much. Will just do minor stuff to get some sound out of it. Stage 1 Software, downpipe and Intake. These gearboxes arnt a good platform to make power so i will just use it for what it was intended.
Current fuel consumption is 8.4 local and 6.2 highway. Not to bad i would say.
Heres some pics:

Oh and my late night Injen intake DIY, Quiet happy with the sound

I forgot to mention Coisman who helped me check up a few cars. Thanks alot for the help and showing me some worrying points on some cars i was interested in.

On a side note. I hate the handbrake button :thumbdo: but the audi concert sound makes up for that

From what I've read/experienced the 2.0T engine likes to use oil :fencelook:

I was told there was a recall done on them and sorted out.

Getting history or anything of the sort for Audi is a pain. It is not like BMW Motorplan where everything is detailed and kept on a system.

Called Audi Centurion where the car was always serviced. They say 2010 is too far back to go to see history and what was changed. System just shows it was serviced but there is no detail to any mechanical components that was replaced.

2010 too far back? :roflol:
Its a real shame.

ja these cars are good value for money..i think if bmw had 2.0 turbo e92's & e90's & even 1 series in 2010 it would of changed the game.
