Forgot to do a write up.

So even though I drove the car from Secunda to JHB yesterday, I was driving convoy with my dad so speed remained pretty tame.

Luckily, I am not and will never be scared of big cars, but erm... this thing is too quick....

See, with the //M, you knew you were speeding, that growl, the revs, you knew that you were now doing something phycotic..

This diesel on the other hand, I take a turn on the N3, and figured, damm that was hard, look down on my speedo, and saw I was doing "slightly" motre then the recommended speed limit.

So I slowed right down, and did a few tests, 6 gear, floor it, and this car just keeps pulling and pulling and pulling all the way to 121+ km/h....

So I set my speed limit to 140 so that I dont make that mistake again in a hurry...

Werries, I take my hat off to you, that suspension is just perfect, absolutely perfect....

I have the same experience with the 540. Put it in 6th gear and it goes very quite. Before I know it I'm going much faster that I should :mmm: best part is that it still feels normal... like doing 100km in my 318i

Wow, now I'm jealous all over again. I remember when werries first posted about this car. Anyway, welcome to the 530d club. And mileage means little on that car, as long as things like suspension is taken care of (which you already said is), she can go a very long way. And at least there is no stupid stepnotronic gearbox to go poof.

The suspension is new, every bush, every ball joint, shocks, brakes, pads...

All replaced thanks to Werries.

She is as smooth at 220 (on my private test track of course) as what she is at 80...
