Plse talk to me about the stick shift conversion:

1. Which box?
2. Cost?
3. Will you get better consumption?
4. How do you mount the clutch pedal?

What kind of consumtion can one expect realistically in town with a car like this (auto)?

is it rude to ask what you paid SS?

@Navigator - Apologies for the extremely late reply! :mmm:

1) Getrag 260/6 - 5 speed
2) I'm assuming it will cost around 6-7k for the whole conversion
3) Usually you will get better fuel consumption as you can coast down hills etc, and the fact that the manual boxes are lighter than the autos
4) Fortunately my 7 has the clutch return spring perch already on the pedal box. It makes it easy swapping the pedals across. If you don't have that spring perch you will have to swap the entire pedal box, which is a pain in the ass. (Ask Leonard - he knows)

I wouldn't have any idea as to what the fuel consumption is like. Rick540 has had a couple E32's, i think he would be the person to ask regarding that.

I paid in the region of R8500 for the whole car. Unfortunately it will cost a lot more than that to make it presentable and actually drive anywhere :) :mmm:

Update... I re-spayed the car LOL :) ...

Got rid of the old 735i and bought a '94 740i instead. Its a little rough around the edges, but should clean up well.

As i got it.

These will be replacing the stock stuff (750i Tail pipes)

This one should be easier to swap to a manual than the previous car too.

Nice  , but black body , black windows and black tyres needs some other colour there - would suit a professional pimp at present petrol prices !!!
