how much is this gonna cost? I see in your post you mention R8000?

that seems like a relative bargain, considering jsut a key costs R1000+ from the dealer

R8360.00 excluding labour, so yep I guess about R10k by the time it's finished!

:cry::cry::cry:

Can't help dwelling on it tho, it's got to be done! Really don't want a half assed fix job to let me down somewhere when the ews and something else have a disagreement! Then I truly will be up a creek. Also don't want to be driving around with a "time bomb" behind the dash! :rollsmile::rollsmile:

Who orders your parts for you at SMG?

Just read through your entire build thread and I take my Hat off 2u... I also spent a bucket of money on my e36 before I sold her... Its a car that not only awakens the sensor's but it stirs the soul...

All the best and I hope she gets sorted out soon!

Plus 1000000. Everything is either been repaired or replaced. Its a thorough restore. Its going to be like showroom condition once its done. One day I'd like to do the same to mine m3.

The long walk.......just a few steps more :thumbs:
This has been a great restore , but as you look down you will find items needing attention due to age .
People can't understand why you do not use a car like this as a daily drive , the 3rd or 10th owner sits with botched jobs/replacing a lot of wear and tear items .

Gents I cant thank you all enough for following this thread and for all the words of encouragement!

I have sent my car back to the panelshop with a minor 4 item snag list!

These include mostly alignment issues and one or two re-assembly issues! This is not a rant and I must stipulate that I am most satisfied that that is all that is wrong with a job of this size! especially considdering that according to my wife, "I am just being Anal!" I guess thats why we are fanatics hey?

I collect her tomorrow and promise I will post pics when I am happy and satisfied (read: anal :biglol:) with my car!
