When do you wana sell?

Great car btw
I don't think I'd ever sell this car. Been wanting one for a long time and i finally found a clean example.

Lovely. I still miss mine!
What colour was yours? Any pics? Is there anything I should lookout for? Would love to hear about your ownership experience with the car.

Lovely car man, congratz.
Have always been curious, how is it performing with that mileage on?
I have not driven another S2000 before, but i think the car goes very well for it's age/mileage. I had a few friendly runs with my brothers Golf 7 GTi DSG. One run I was ahead, and the other he was ahead. I was impressed.

Congrats, beautiful car.

What major maintenance items were done up to this mileage?
I'm not really sure. I need to check with Honda to see what was done previously.

Mine was an 07. bought it brand new. Had a set of track rims too. I am possibly going to buy it back from current owner soon LOL

I'm sure you know about the roof but with patches inside in the right spots it isn't that big of a deal.

Provided you look after the car properly and eg: if you track it, do your checks before and change fluids later then it is fine. Do your valve inspections/adjustments on time, use proper oil, keep checking oil regularly (you never know and with a high revving motor you don't want to take any chances) and you will be fine.

My mods were mild: Skunk 2 exhaust and test pipe, TEIN springs & Koni Yellow shocks, Injen CAI + hydroshield, various cosmetic bits, Powerbrake discs & MX72 pads. Very reliable and good enough (on semis) for a 1:16,8 at Zwartkops which ain't too shabby. One of the best experiences of my life was driving Kyalami with the roof off. Been plenty faster in other cars, but nothing quite like this IMHO. Gearbox is amazing. Never had any drivetrain issues.

I actually had it plumbed for Nitrous but never got around to finishing the kit with the fuel feed (and eventually sold the kit)

I finally got to dyno my car on Friday at Autotrix. Here is my graph. Figures are at the wheels.

I installed a new exhaust system on Saturday. 70mm straight pipe with the 2 backboxes. My car sounds like a superbike now. Will post some vids soon.

Update:
I found out last week that my car had a unichip installed a long time ago. That was the reason why it was so strong on the dyno.

Anyway the car was pinging and i was told that the car needed to be retuned as it was originally tuned in JHB. I took my car to Autotrix on Saturday to have it tuned. Together with my new exhaust setup, we managed to get an extra 2kw and 10nm at the wheels. The graph is much smoother than before, and the car is much more responsive and revs up much quicker than before. I'm extremely happy with the outcome. I can't stop smiling everytime i put my foot down

Small update:

I installed a K&N intake in October last year. There is a slight improvement on how the car performs now. It pulls much better in the high rpm. The sound it makes is just awesome

Growing up, I always attended dyno days and I hoped that one day I would own a car that could be competitive. Since taking ownership of my car, I have entered 4 dyno events. I was placed 1st in the 4cyl class for 3 out of 4 events:rollsmile: Not bad for a car with just bolt ons.

Thanks Ashley:ty:

Go for it, you will never regret it:rollsmile:

The intake cost me R5800 in total. I got it from Real Street Performance on ebay.
