very nice man! welcome...

how are u liking the smg? I had an extensive test in one last week... S6 @ 10/10's is pretty impressive. the mechanical clunk is scary (sounds like something is going to fall out) but adds a nice touch to experience...

I was very weary of SMG, heard bad things mostly.
but after test driving a few, i found the SMG to be more exciting- I bought the car purely as a toy, its not my daily so didnt worry too much about stop start traffic (which is not where the SMG excels)
but when driving hard, the SMG does reward- and the blip on the down shifts is awesome!

the car is stock and will be until the mp runs out- then i will start modding.

Agreed, it is rather exciting coming from a full blown manual junkie:thumbsup:

Its also very good to see the M where it belongs, was that ur first time at the track or are u a regular?

A regular,
I used to track my 330i, astra OPC and my ex's Corsa OPC every chance i got!
love it!!

otherwise, done sessions in the Megane R26, E39 M5 and plenty less fun things...

The M3 is by far the best road car i have driven around a track!

Congrats on the purchase. The M3 is quite a step up from the 330i around the track and I am sure that you're loving it.

Did you have any problems with brake fade?

After my first session i was rather worried, the pedal went soft and to the floor...

but then i went to check the timing board and saw that i had done 10 consecutive hot laps:shocked:

so brakes held up well considering:thumbsup:
