Hi, as mentioned previously, we would bend the corners up a little to get the center to bulge out more or closer to the road and this has helped on several of the ones we did.
It’s niether. It’s a humming noise, an oscilating mid to low frequency humming noise. I used to have vibrations on my f30 from 100km/h. I discovered that low tyre pressure on one tyre on the rear does that.
I am left with this humming noise and I have belly pans off. I suspect the prop shaft or diff. Haven’t investigated yet. Sucks!
I had the same problem, and after months of searching i found a solution on youtube about an old 6 series with the same issues. Turns out my tyres need a bit more pressure than others. Filled the fronts to 2.9 bars and rears to 3.4 bars. Car is smooth now.
Agree. That pressure is too high IMO.
It could be (and I am spitballing here) that inflating to that high pressure is addressing the symptom, not the cause?
Please share the link to the YT video.
Thanks.
My brother's Volvo had this, turns out the wheels weren't completely true. Low suspension, 19" wheels and crappy SA roads are the culprit.
Most tyre places can quickly check if this is the case then they can heat and round the rims again.

Its not bent wheels. Went through that process when i first started noticing the sound. Wheel balancing, straightening the rims etc. Nothing worked until i just took the tire pressure to 2.8 bar.
