Did a trip to Pretoria and back today about 500km got an average consumption of 4.9l/100km driving normally (130-140km/h).:joy:

The most impressive thing for me remains the 8 speed autobox:inlove:

And oh my what a joy it is to drive on your Gauteng highways! The road is so smooth, it feels like flying! Stop complaining about the e-toll:fencelook:

The color and the mags are really growing on me, loving it even more each day :inlove:

The color seems to change quite a lot depending on the sun: from orange to red to brownish.

Did the trip to Potch today (100kms) with an average consumption of 4.6l/100km, seems like after the trip to Pretoria the engine is now nice and ready to perform even more economically.

nice..just curious, did d2cosa advise on changing the ambient light setting from the idrive make any difference?

I can change between "Sport" and "Classic" on the "Lights" menu.

thanks, so since you don have the extended lights package does it change lights in the same places as his?

No, only the dials on the dash as far as I can tell.

thanks for the speedy response.

just saw this on autoblog
http://www.autoblog.com/2012/05/08/bmw-recalling-7-600-3-series-models-over-faulty-head-restraints/

do you have this issue with the head restraint?

How to check:

Does this mean I have the head restraint issue? The head rest on my E90 could also go this high. Seems irrelevant to me...

I cannot for the life of me see any difference between the "Sport" and "Classic" setting

Some nice microfibre cloths and some good car shampoo! And enjoy - therapeutic to wash a car!!

I like these cars from the side to rear angle - similar to the E90, nice angle! :inlove:

All wet:

Strangely you have to put the wipers in fold out mode since it cannot lift up when down???

They look nice when they are all wet!!

Very strange about the wiper arms! Most likely for cleaner aerodynamics...

New "record" on consumption for daily drive at 4.6l/100km (but it is still just the quoted combined average), it could have been better except for some traffic as it was sitting on 4.4

Ag nee man Petri.

I only see this thread now because i was bored and decided to read any thread. Your car is too special and hot not to show up on google as a brand new F30. This is an international forum and will draw traffic & views. See the difference in views between your other thread and this one which has far more pix and info.

Please change the title to F30 320d Review or something else.

Please man.

Ps. Pix are very very nice :inlove::praise:
