Before I start my blurb, let me just say that this forum is amazing. Everyone is always willing to help and jump in, add their advise on what should be done, pull up part numbers and do a fantastic job in helping.
The feedback and views on my maintenance thread has been astounding - so firstly, a HUGE thanks to everyone - too many people to name. You guys who know you are

Here's my little (long!) story of ordering a clutch kit from Rolf & Mike.
For the guys who have been following my maintenance thread, you'll know this has been going on for ages now - well, finally the kit has arrived and is currently sitting at SMG waiting for fitment
Planned for tomorrow. Woohoo!!
Now, to give a little insight into the whole situation. I ordered an OEM clutch through SMG and wanted it replaced. Turns out, a whole lot more is wrong than just the clutch. I got the news only a few hours after they'd taken my car apart.
Clutch is gone.
Flywheel is burnt.
Needs replacing, R17 000 for the flywheel through SMG. No can do there, already on a budget because of moving - and let's be honest here, that amount of money is a little excessive. ///M prices :blab:
We tried a few options, Mike got on board and made some suggestions. Turns out Rolf has an E60 M5 flywheel for sale and we figure it might fit. Already I'm impressed about these two guys. They aren't fixing it for me but still show as much excitement as I do on getting things sorted out.
The E60 flywheel wouldn't work after from research, but these two don't give up with the help. Rolf was flying to Germany later that week and offered to pick up the kit for me, talk about being properly awesome here. Through this entire process, we've all battled with logistics and legalities of what you can, can't take on a plane and how lame some courier companies can be.
So turns out Rolf has to swing some charm with the airlines, even sacrificing his sausage which he wanted to bring back. Long story short, we had to import the clutch kit as the flywheel alone weighs 30 odd kilo's - still need to add the clutch :argh:
Through-out this entire process of massive help, I'm always kept up to date and no matter how annoying I get with phone calls, emails and SMS'es Mike & Rolf keep their cool and sort things out properly.
I officially have my brand spanking new LuK clutch kit waiting on SMG to pop the goods into my M5.
Mike, Rolf. You guys have been truly amazing supporting me so much through this entire import process and will always be one of the (if not THE) top companies in the country. You guys have some true potential - I can see myself doing plenty more business with you and will have no quarrels dropping my hard earned cash on your desks and let you do the rest.
Definitive Auto are streaks ahead of the industry. If you need something, a tune, a detail, performance parts - stop looking and phone these chaps.
THANK YOU
