My E92 Story

Good day Fellow Members

So my story starts sometime late last year december sitting on the couch browsing thru gumtree when i saw this e92 325i auto for sale, it had been advertised as a non runner(due to computerbox water damage), i decided to try my luck ony to find out the car is still available ( but 300km away from where i stay) so i call up my brother to go view it as he a mechanic/auto electrician. he went to see the car and said needs work but do-able. long story shot i bought the car 2days later.

when i got the car it needed alot of work
- no driver window
- front lights cracked
- rear driver side damaged
- bonnet does not close complete
- needed new front bumper
- windscreen damage
- tires smooth as a baby's bottom (all 4)
- airbags popped (repair job done was :-( )
- dent on the boot

so basically i wasn't ready for the project then i thought let me try work on it and give myself time.i called a few places and to my surprise nothing about this car is cheap for a +-10yr car. the guys stripping this rides wanted a kidney just for a lockset so i decided im going to park it and just get whatever parts i could afford when it came my way.

i got hold of a 335i bumper after a few weeks for a steal, but then a day after i saw another guy on the net selling an Msport one and i just had to.

the my brothers friend wanted to swap his 19"s for 18s and i organised some proper rubber and we swapped rims.
from this...

then fitted the msport bumper

now i was craving to see her go low as i have always been known to ride low,
i decided to squash my Springs (the WORST MOD i regret doing) as i have leant the hard way not to ever compress springs but the stance was just amazing. i went from

to being this low

to how it looks now

after browsing the net i saw this other e92 with a sick interior trim and i just had to try it myself.
i stripped down all my interior trim,

then i sanded ,primered everything(i only realised i should have used newspapers on the floor

thats when my creative juices started to flow i guess

now im not too sure how everyone will feel about this colour on a BMW but to HELL with everyone who hates it(just kidding, no seriously ) but i love what i did to the interior as its unique and kinda gives the car some colour to the dull interior

and some night shots with white led's and some burgers to bribe the boss lady to stay with me late as the madam is resting

and with some red lighting

some random interior photo

and then on some serious business i got myself a lockset for next to nothing from a buddy of mine (mike from florida glen) and the car started.
lockset n pump (2)_1427509607.jpg

the dash was lighting up like a christmas tree in december but that was expected as it hasnt been started in some time. th fuel pump died on me after idling for a minute but i was happy with the progress.i managed to get my hands on another pump and car starts

But wait its not a happy ending just yet,2coils had seen better days and needed to be replaced and then i noticed one night while it was idling that my exhaust manifold (on the cat) was turning red meaning the cats have clogged up :-(.....anyway stroty of my life......
