Well done for being so brave with these Shaun... Anxious to see how it finishes off...

Out of interest how are you going to seal the lights up again?

Got a little bit done again last night.

Received my perspex rings for the fitment of the angel eyes.
The guys overseas just epoxy the new rings on top of the old ones, like this...

But that is unacceptable for me, it looks a bit backyard.
So the Perspex rings will be epoxy glued to the Shrouds to take up all the gaps, and the OEM angel eyes get completely removed.

Here you can see the ring glued to the Inner Light Shroud.

Everything is slowly nearing completion.

Did some paint on the bits last night.
Colour choice is gloss black and canyon satin black to add some contrast.

Tinted the indicators with spray tint

As luck would have it I dropped one of the shrouds while the paint was still wet, so need to redo it tonight.

That is always one of the problems when splitting lights. I have Quality silicone sealer that I am going to be using to seal the lights with.

Finished up the lights over the weekend, plenty of hours went into them and very little sleep. To say I am happy they are done is a understatement.

Starting to assemble

Then the Tedious Task of Restoring the lenses, the UV coating the lights have on is a right nightmare to take off, spent a good 3-4 hours per headlight sanding them.

360grit, 400grit, 600grit, 800grit, 1200grit 1500grit

This is in the process of removing the UV coating, you can see the blemishes of where it is removed

Fully sanded
